Rootlab provided technical design, fabrication, and installation for Carolina Rising Museum, an 8,000-square-foot Revolutionary War museum located inside the historic Carnegie Library in Gaffney, South Carolina. Working with designer TimeLooper Inc., DP3 Architects, and Sossamon Construction, the project helped bring new life to a preserved civic landmark.
Rootlab’s work included the fabrication and installation of exhibit elements, millwork, display areas, theater components, and integrated audio/visual features throughout the museum. The exhibits combine physical environments, projection, storytelling, interactive media, and AI-powered historical characters to create a more engaging way for visitors to experience the history of the Carolina backcountry. The completed museum serves as both an educational destination and a heritage-tourism anchor for the region.
