Texas Children's Hospital - MAW Legacy Space

Museums & Exhibitions

Developed by Rootlab

Project Details

Scope

Rootlab was honored to bring its multidisciplinary design and fabrication capabilities to the new Mark A. Wallace Legacy Space at Texas Children's Hospital, collaborating closely with Butler Design, Page Architecture and Bellows Construction to realize the intimate yet impactful space.

At the center of the room stands a 6-foot stainless steel heart sculpture, cast with a ¼-inch wall and polished by hand to a mirror finish in partnership with our local foundry. Rootlab also engineered and fabricated the relic wall of illuminated display boxes showcasing artifacts from the past three decades, several wall-integrated screens with custom bezels, and a monumental 3D sign—integrating custom lighting, millwork, and metalwork into a cohesive system.
